Divemaster Training - The Course

What Do I Need To Start...?
In order to become a PADI Divemaster, you must be a qualified PADI Advanced Open Water and also Rescue Diver, with at least 20 logged dives. Your EFR/Medic First-Aid certificate must be less than 12 months old.

The Course - Relaxed Schedule
Although the PADI Divemaster can be rushed through in as little as 10 days, the Crystal Dive Resort "Divemaster Koh Tao" program is scheduled over 4-6 weeks. We offer a more relaxed schedule than most operators, which gives you a better opportunity to see how the dive school is run, take in a few more fun dives as well as spending more time with your instructor and our team of divemasters.

Dive Leadership
Learn to help impart that love of diving to people taking their first breaths underwater and learn to celebrate with them at the completion of their course. You will take part in classroom sessions with your instructor as well as practical, "hands-on" sessions.

Diving Skills
Both confined and Open Water sessions will bring your dive skills up to the highest levels. Confidence in your own skills and dive theory gives students peace of mind when asking you for advice regarding their own dive training and development.

Organization
Working with our team of experienced Master and IDC Staff Instructors gives you a good overall view of different ways to teach and guide divers. Assist on a dive courses, develop control, solve problems and organize dive trips and tours.

You will also learn how to navigate various dive trips, develop map-making skills, organize fun divers and improve customer relations skills in both retail and marketing.

Accommodation
Accommodation during your Divemaster Training is at your own discretion. We can offer assistance in finding you accommodation on a monthly rate at one of the many non-diving resorts on the island.

Average costs for a monthly rental on Koh Tao are between 5,000 - 8,000Th.Baht. We can discuss in further detail when you arrive.

What Are The Total Costs...?
The PADI Divemaster Training program is 25,000Th.Baht (approx. $US 625). This is our standard price but we also offer special packages, incorporating continuing education programs and refresher medical courses. For full details of all packages, please see our packages section.
